crate & barrel vs. the environment

this is not the typical complaint you would hear from me, but when something is this absurd, it warrants a response. i bought four barstools from crate & barrel last week, and they were delivered today. let’s just say that when they arrived, there was no question as to what was in the package.

i kid you not when i tell you that it took me an hour and a half to remove the packing from the four barstools. what was left were four nice barstools like this…

and one huge pile of waste like this…

crate & barrel, give me a break. i’m all for well-packaged merchandise, but some would say that seven lawn and garden trash bags of packaging might be a bit much.

the worst part of the story is that there was a sticker on each chair which read, “made in vietnam.” poor seven-year-old child laborers.

Had to take my dad to Prevost for stitches and talk to your mom. She gave me your web so I thought I would check it out. You have surpassed all of your goals if life in such a short time I don’t believe anyone can match you. Congradulation on you job, apartment, and everything you have done to get there.
Also a great big thank you for all you help as a doctor in our lives. Helping our friends in Houston has touched our hearts and we will never beable to repay you! But if we can in any way please let us know.
We love you and miss you
    Nancy and Pierre
